Part Three The test of INSTRUCTIONAL ABILITY. This is the last of the qualifying examinations. The test lasts for about an hour and is split up into two ‘phases’. The examiner will play the part of the ‘pupil’, and it is up to you to teach him/her the subject chosen, at the correct level for the needs and ability of the ‘pupil’. Phase One, lasts for about 30 minutes. During this phase the examiner will play the part of a beginner, or partly trained pupil, and you will be required to teach a new subject to the pupil. Phase Two also lasts for another 30 minutes. The examiner will play the role of a learner driver at test standard, or a full licence holder requiring further training. There is a common opinion among trainee instructors that part 3 is hard. Well it isn’t. part 3 is EASY as long as you are prepared. To fail to prepare is to prepare to fail. We will not only prepare you for this test but also for your new career as an ADI. |
